  9. My aim in this paper is to briefly touch upon Aristotelian philosophical psychology, focusing on the biological orientation of Aristotle' s theory, by analyzing his theory on the soul (psuchê), as well as his views on the mind-body problem, making special reference to his position on the soul of animals. The Aristotelian questions regarding the nature of the mind and the soul of animals still remains relevant to contemporary philosophical discussion and continues to influence in various ways contemporary philosophy of mind. Although, the Aristotelian notion of «metaphysical biology» is nowadays considered outdated by many, especially when related to moral and political Aristotelian theory, nevertheless most other areas of Aristotelian philosophy are still relevant and many philosophers still study Aristotle's thought, not only within the framework of the history of philosophy, but also by trying to reconstruct neo-Aristotelian theories that could contribute to contemporary discussions on moral and political problems but also in the fields of philosophical psychology, philosophy of mind, and philosophical biology.
